The Credit Card Receipt Image System (CCris) is an innovative and unique solution to the problem of keeping mountains of paper receipts for many years for legal purposes.
Does the term 'statute of limitiation' mean anything to you? In effect, it means a legally binding length of time, set by government. In the case of retailers, such as restaurants or hardware stores, there is a statute of limitation of 4 years during which every retailer is obliged to keep every credit card receipt for purchases from their store.
Lets just think about that in terms of numbers. A typical restaurant might have 40 credit card transactions per day. Over a year that might amount to almost 15,000 paper receipts. Over 4 years, this would be the best part of 60,000 receipts. Think of it another way : that is about 60 shoe boxes packed full of receipts, and having to be stored somewhere (usually on your premises).
MurrayData are the first and only supplier in the UK of a unique system which allows you to quickly do an image scan of each receipt and store this electronic image in your PC. Images are stored in date order and are easily accessed if required at a later date.
