OMR + Image Scanners
The first OMR+Image scanner shown here is the groundbreaking iNSIGHT 4 from Scantron. It has both 'red light' OMR read head capabilites for scanning OMR only forms, and a 'white light' image read head for scanning whole documents and then using software to extract OMR, OCR, ICR, barcode and image clips from the page just scanned. The scanner is rated at 2200 sheets per hour, so will easily cope with most applications, and comes as an optional single sided or double sided machine.
This sophisticated and versatile scanner will work with different software applications when working in OMR mode, but only with ScanTools+ when working in OMR+Image mode. The iNSIGHT 4 scanner also has an optional select output stacker and can automatically feed 80-100 forms through the scanner from its input tray.
The second OMR+Image scanner shown here is the iNSIGHT 30. It has a 'white light' image read head for scanning whole documents and then using software to extract OMR, OCR, ICR, barcode and image clips from the page just scanned. This has a higher throughput rate, so will scan up to 3600 sheets per hour working in conjunction with ScanTools+ software.
During 2009, there was a 'slimmed down' version of the iNSIGHT 30 available, which is called the iNSIGHT 20, with the same features, apart from a slightly slower throughput rate.
