Whenever there are boxes or spaces on a form for hand written comments, then these can be captured by manually keying, or typing, the comments into the computer. It may be that most of the data on the form can be captured using OMR or ICR techniques, but hand written comments need to be captured in a different way. Some organisations are happy to capture these as image clips to be read later. Others prefer these comments to be captured in electornic type. Using our combined scanning and manual data entry systems, this can be done in the most efficient way possible.
By optimising the automated data capture in a form design, MurrayData can reduce the amount of typing to a minimum, but still capture this in the same context as all other data from that form. By using the most modern and dynamic processing software, we can ensure that you do not lose any valuable data from your surveys, application forms or evalautions.
Data entry is often thought of as a repetitive and mind-numbing task, which is why we will always work with our customers to design forms in ways which will reduce typing to a minimum. However, we recognize that there are times when this is unavoidable. Generally, manual keying of data is more expensive than automated data capture, and prone to higher error levels through human mistakes.
