Forms Processing
Forms processing covers a multitude of tasks that can be provided by MurrayData on behalf of our customers. In its simplest sense, it may require us to take a boxful of order forms, or agreements, scan them quickly to produce an image of each form, place all these images in a file which has a reference to the month and year, then give these to the customer on a CD. This is almost an archiving service, so that paper forms can then be recycled or shredded.
One step further along the forms processing road would be to capture a unique identifier, such as an order number, or agreement number, or even patient number, and save each image with this unique indexing reference number. This helps in image retrieval from archive later on.
From this point, the options are almost unlimited in terms of froms processing. Over an above scanning and indexing images of each form or sheet, we can capture data from documents. These can be structured forms, semi structured forms or even unstructured forms. The more structure there has been designed into the form, and the more accurately it has been printed, then the more accurate the data capture.
We can capture OMR, OCR, ICR, barcode and image clips such as signatures from a sheet. During 2010 we will trial the very latest concept in data capture : Advanced Character Recognition (ACR), which really means joined up hand writing! We can supply you with raw captured data, cleansed data, Excel data, or even finished standard or ad-hoc reports with bar or pie charts. We can even create and populate databases for longer term projects, and update these databases regularly with new data as we process it.
