OMR Scanners

In order to capture data quickly and accurately, we predominantly use and recommend Scantron OMR scanners. Since around 2010, these scanners began to feature additional imaging capabilities, over and above the traditional capturing of simple marks from ‘bubbles’ on a sheet. These newer, more technologically advanced scanners are sometimes known as ‘OMR With Image’ scanners. The scanners listed below are a selection of the most popular models available from Scantron.

Insight 700c

The newest ‘OMR With Image’ scanner by Scantron, The first colour OMR scanner released,

Runs at up to 6600 sheets per hour, Multiple resolutions, Works with a new version of ScanTools software - ScanTools Prisma, A new generation production scanner Sets the benchmark for all other colour OMR scanners.

Insight 4es

The Insight 4es scanner is another example of a desktop ‘OMR With Image’ scanner, Very popular with universities

and colleges for processing MCQ exams and assessments. It can process A4 and US letter size sheets, but runs at a slightly faster 2200 sheets per hour rate.

Insight 30

The ‘big brother’ of the Insight 20plus scanner, Falls into both the desktop and production categories of

‘OMR With Image’ scanners, This scanner will scan a stack of 60 A4 sheets in 60 seconds, i.e. 1 per second, making it ideal for processing large batches of forms.

Insight20plus

A good example of an ‘OMR With Image’ scanner, Capable of scanning multiple size sheets,

Nearly 2,000 sheets per hour and can take up to 50 sheets in an automatic input tray.

OpScan 6 & 8

The Opscan6 & Opscan8 models are traditional ‘OMR Only’ scanners. They're still very popular due to their

reputation for reliability. Have a scanning speed of either 3,600 or 5,000 sheets/hour

The EZData OMR scanner, often associated with exam and betting applications.

Useful or smaller data capture, Ideal for use with slim forms, Wide variety of applications

- tests, assessments and surveys, to attendance monitoring. These small, robust and affordable OMR scanners ideal for even the most demanding applications

We can also provide genuine Scantron spare parts and consumables for each of the OMR scanners that we provide. Everything from belts and pulleys, to print cartridges and trays is available from Scantron stores, meaning that your OMR scanner investment will be supported and in good working order for many years to come. We have customers in the UK, Nigeria and Finland who regularly order spare parts from us. We can even provide PDF maintenance manuals to help you identify part names and numbers, and help you to fit the parts yourself within the OMR scanner.
